Short answer: a made-to-measure BJJ gi is cut to your measurements instead of a standard size chart. It's the fix when off-the-rack doesn't work — you're between sizes, taller or shorter than the chart assumes, or just built in a way that no A-size flatters. Ours is $189, made to your numbers. One important thing up front: this is custom fit, not custom design — we tailor the sizing, not bespoke artwork or team kits.
Do you actually need it? (Most people don't)
Start with the standard chart. Between our Standard, Long, Wide, and Women's cuts, the off-the-rack range covers most bodies — including tall-for-weight (Long) and broader builds (Wide). Check our gi size guide first: if you land cleanly in a row and a cut, buy the in-stock gi (from $119) and skip the custom route.
Go made-to-measure when:
- Your height and weight point to two different sizes and no cut closes the gap.
- You're taller than the Long chart or shorter than the smallest size.
- You have proportions a chart can't catch — long torso, short legs, big shoulders with a narrow waist, and so on.
- You've simply never had a gi that fit right and you're done compromising.

- We confirm your measurements by email before anything is cut — height, weight, and the specific dimensions that matter for your build.
- We make it to your numbers in the same 450 GSM pearl weave, pre-shrunk, as the rest of the line.
What "custom" means here (and what it doesn't)
To be straight with you: made-to-measure means we adjust the fit — sleeve and pant length, jacket length, room through the chest and waist — to your body. It is not custom design: we don't do bespoke embroidery, your-own-artwork gis, team uniforms, or bulk/academy orders. If a perfect fit in our 450 GSM pearl weave is what you're after, this is it. If you want a one-off design, that's not something we make.
A gi that fits is the cheapest performance upgrade in jiu-jitsu. You stop fighting your own sleeves and start fighting the person in front of you.
