A00F Gi Size: Height, Weight and Who It Fits

Short answer: A00F fits 142–152 cm (4′8″–5′0″) and 39–45 kg (86–99 lb). It is the Fitted cut of null: the trimmer cut — same lengths, less room through the body.

Where these sizes start, stop and overlap. Bands that share a weight range but not a height range are the ones people get wrong.

How to know it's you

If gis hang off you — shoulder seams past your shoulders, a jacket you can wrap a long way across — you have been buying for your height and ignoring your build. That is what A00F fixes.

If A00F is not quite it

A0F is the only step available in this cut. If the problem is that one half of you is a different size from the other, order it that way: a jacket in one size and trousers in another is a normal order here. And if no combination on the chart works, custom sizing is $189 and is cut to your measurements.

Size has nothing to do with legality, but fit does. The IBJJF measures sleeve and trouser length against your wrist and ankle with the arm extended, and a gi that is too short fails at weigh-in. The full requirements cover colour, fabric and the measurement rules.
