A0F Gi Size: Height, Weight and Who It Fits

Short answer: A0F fits 152–163 cm (5′0″–5′4″) and 45–57 kg (99–126 lb). It is the Fitted cut of A0: the trimmer cut — same lengths, less room through the body.

Against a plain A0 it is -4 cm jacket chest, -8 cm trouser waist. Everything else is identical to A0: jacket wingspan, jacket length, trouser length.

How to know it's you

If gis hang off you — shoulder seams past your shoulders, a jacket you can wrap a long way across — you have been buying for your height and ignoring your build. That is what A0F fixes.

Is A0F you?

Two numbers and we’ll tell you straight, including when the answer is a different size.

Wingspan is cuff to cuff, jacket length is collar to hem, chest is laid flat. These are the numbers the size is cut to, not an estimate from the chart.

If A0F is not quite it

Step down to A00F or up to A1F if the band is wrong on weight. If the problem is that one half of you is a different size from the other, order it that way: a jacket in one size and trousers in another is a normal order here. About one gi in ten we shipped between 31 July and 29 September 2026 went out that way, and the mixed-size gi guide shows how to pick the pair.

And if no combination on the chart works, custom sizing is $189 and is cut to your measurements.

Size has nothing to do with legality, but fit does. The IBJJF measures sleeve and trouser length against your wrist and ankle with the arm extended, and a gi that is too short fails at weigh-in. The full requirements cover colour, fabric and the measurement rules.
